LOS ANGELES, CA — June 10, 2026 — Cinemalistics, Inc. today announced the public launch of its groundbreaking true crime platform that merges AI-powered investigation tools with cinematic storytelling and verified, ethical journalism. Founded by Anthony E. Zuiker — the creator and showrunner behind the global CSI franchise — Cinemalistics represents a decade-in-the-making vision for the future of interactive true crime.

The platform debuts with three active cases, a proprietary AI Co-Investigator trained on forensic methodology, and a live community of thousands of internet sleuths who have already participated in early access crime lab sessions. Unlike podcast aggregators or docuseries streamers, Cinemalistics places its audience inside the investigation — with access to redacted case documents, evidence timelines, and real-time case status updates.

True crime has always been a spectator sport. We're making it participatory. The crime lab is open — and the audience is finally part of the work.
Anthony E. Zuiker · Co-Founder & Chief Crime Officer, Cinemalistics

Platform Features at Launch

The Cinemalistics platform launches with a suite of tools designed for serious true crime enthusiasts, journalists, and armchair investigators alike. The Evidence Locker provides authenticated chain-of-custody documentation for each active case, with redactions lifted incrementally as investigations progress. AI Co-Investigator, powered by a proprietary large language model fine-tuned on forensic science literature and case law, allows users to submit hypotheses and receive probabilistic analysis in real time.

A curated Newsroom aggregates only journalist-verified reporting — no speculation, no anonymous sourcing — tied directly to the active cases on the platform. Community integrity is maintained by a dedicated editorial board drawn from retired law enforcement, forensic science, and investigative journalism.

Founding team member David Freeman (Co-Founder, KYNETIC Media Ventures; formerly CAA) brings two decades of premium entertainment packaging and distribution experience, positioning Cinemalistics for early content licensing conversations with major streaming platforms.

About the Founding Team

Cinemalistics was co-founded by a multidisciplinary team spanning entertainment, technology, design, and media. Alongside Zuiker, Donovan Leitch leads creative development as Co-Founder & Chief Creative Officer, drawing on his experience producing boundary-pushing media at the intersection of culture and technology. Douglas Scott (Co-Founder; formerly UNXNOWN, Ogilvy, Endeavor) leads brand and marketing strategy. The technology architecture is advised by Anthony Batt, a veteran Silicon Valley technologist serving as Advising Chief Technology Officer.

The company is backed by a group of strategic advisors spanning forensic science, law enforcement, legal, and media finance sectors.

Availability & Access

Cinemalistics is available now at cinemalistics.com. Early access membership is open via the Join Investigation waitlist. The platform is initially web-based, with native iOS and Android applications expected in Q4 2026. Institutional licensing for law schools, journalism programs, and law enforcement agencies is available upon request.
